AIIMS MBBS 2016 Counselling: After the results are declared for AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam as expected on 14^th June, 2016, the counselling sessions are also expected to start from 4^th July.

AIIMS MBBS 2016 Counselling Schedule and Details:

AIIMS Admissions Counselling will be conducted in four rounds and they are expected to begin from the 4^th July, 2016.

The first round for the AIIMS MBBS Counselling 2016 will be conducted from 4^th July to 8^th July. The second round will be on 4^th August followed by third round on 6^th September. After the above three AIIMS Counselling 2016 sessions, open counselling will be done on 27^th September, 2016. The 672 AIIMS MBBS 2016 Seat Allotment will be done strictly on the basis of the candidate’s preference order and rank in the merit list. The counselling session will aim to fulfil the AIIMS 2016 Seat Allotment at 7 AIIMS Institutes all across India. The AIIMS MBBS 2016 Counselling will be conducted at Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium, AIIMS, New Delhi. All the candidates are required to attend the counselling in person as per the schedule allotted to them. If a candidate is not physically present for the counselling on the allotted date, the candidature of such applicant will be cancelled. So, it’s very important for the applicants to plan their schedule according to the Counselling dates and be there at the counselling venue along with the Documents Required for Counselling.

Documents required for AIIMS MBBS 2016 Counselling:

All the qualified candidates are required to bring the following documents during AIIMS MBBS 2016 counselling and should keep at least one set of  self-attested copies of all the certificates with them.

• AIIMS MBBS 2016 Admit Card
• AIIMS MBBS 2016 Call Letter issued by AIIMS, New Delhi
• Proof of Date of Birth – Matriculation/High School Certificate, Birth Certificate issued by local Municipal Corporation office indicating name and date of birth of the candidate
• Certificate/Mark sheet from the Board from which the candidate passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with 60% marks for UR and OBC candidates and  50% marks or above for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates in aggregate in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry (Organic & Inorganic) and Biology (Botany & Zoology)
• Migration certificate from the University/Board last attended the candidate
• Certificate from the prescribed authority on the prescribed form as appended in the AIIMS MBBS 2016 admission brochure showing that candidates belong to SC/ST/OBC/OPH category (applicable only If you have claimed in application that belongs to a SC/ST/OBC/OPH category) (*OBC certificate should be valid for central government jobs/Central Govt. Institutions only, otherwise claim for OBC reservation will not be considered.
• Current passport size photograph (front pose) 6 copies
• One set of self-attested copies of all the certificates

Highlights of AIIMS MBBS 2016 Counselling:

• In AIIMS MBBS 2016 counselling process the seats allocated for unreserved category will be filled up first through open competition. This means, candidates will be called for counselling based on their merit irrespective of whether they belong to UR, SC, ST or OBC category
• AIIMS MBBS 2016 counselling for reserved category seat will begin after filling up of all the unreserved seats (i.e. open category seats)
• Candidates belonging from reservation categories like SC / ST / OBC category will be counselled for the seats allotted for them in their respective categories. If a candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC who had taken admission under open competition, opts for other institution of their choice for which they will be eligible as per the rules of reservation. The MBBS seats vacated by them in open (UR) competition will be filled with a candidate from the same reservation category only according to merit
• In AIIMS MBBS 2016 counselling process the seats allocated for unreserved category will be filled up first through open competition. This means, candidates will be called for counselling based on their merit irrespective of whether they belong to UR, SC, ST or OBC category

• In each category i.e. UR, OBC, SC & ST, the total no. of candidate to be called for counselling will be 4 times the no. of seats available in each category
• All reserved category candidates who qualify in the open (general) merit list (4 times of the open category seats i.e. up to rank number 1348) are advised necessarily attend the AIIMS MBBS 2016 counselling for open category seats
• If candidates are not present or refuse to take a seat in open category, they will not be allowed for attending the counselling for reserved seats
• Candidates belonging from reserved category, who qualify and allotted seats in open merit and wish to change their choice of institute under respective reserved category, have to participate in counselling for seats in these categories
• Candidates who will be selected for AIIMS Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh and Jodhpur will have to attend the help desk counter of respective AIIMS at the venue of counseling (i.e. Jawaharlal Auditorium, AIIMS, New Delhi). The help desk will provide the details of the admission process in the respective AIIMS
• In case during the open selection, vacant ST category seats will be transferred to SC category and vice versa. Any SC/ST seat which remains vacant will be transferred to the general category. Similarly, if OBC seats remains vacant it will be transferred to the general category candidates
