The Central Board of Secondary Education has successfully conducted the Central Teacher Eligibility Test on 18th September 2016. CTET Sept 2016 Result Declaration:

The CBSE conducts Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) every year to recruit the eligible candidates for the CBSE Schools. It is a mandatory test for the job seekers who want teaching jobs in government. It is conducted by Central as well as State governments in India. Most of the states of India conduct their own TET. This test is conducted to achieve the objectives of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education ACT.

The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) was introduced to improve the standard of education in Indian Schools. It is conducted twice in a year. As it gets the eligible candidates the coveted government teaching jobs the competition is really hard and candidates prepare wholeheartedly for the exam.

Qualifying Marks Required for CTET

As per the NCTE notification No. 76-4/2010/NCTE/Acad dated 11.02.2011, A candidate who scores 60% or more in the Teaching Eligibility Test will be considered as TET pass.

School managements may consider giving concessions to the person belonging to a reserved category i.e. SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc., as per their extant reservation policy.

The Schools must give weightage to the CTET scores during the recruitment of the teachers but qualifying CTET doesn’t mean the person is confirmed for the job. It is just an eligibility criterion for the appointment.

Validity of the CTET Result

  • The Validity of the CTET qualifying certificate will be Seven (7) years from the date of declaration of the result for all categories
  • A person who has already qualified CTET can appear again to improve his/her scores.
  • There is no limitation on the no. of attempts a candidate can appear for.

Procedure to check CTET Sept 2016 Result

The candidates will be able to check the result from either of the official websites i.e. ctet.nic.in, cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in once it is published by the CBSE. The candidates will be able to check the result and CTET Sept 2016 Merit List by simply following the below steps:

  • Visit the official site or click on the link given below.
  • Look for link for ‘CTET Sept 2016 Result’
  • Enter your credentials.
  • The CTET Sept 2016 Result will appear on your screen.
  • Check it and take the print for further reference.
