Coventry University Campus, Popular Courses, Alumni Coventry University is a public research university located in the city of Coventry, England. The University was established in 1970 by the name of Lanchester Polytechnic. In the year 1992, it was awarded the University status, changing to Coventry University. There are 23,465 UG and 5,960 PG students on its campus. In the terms of rankings, Coventry University stands 601-800th by World University Rankings. It does not feature in Times Higher Education but features on 151-200th on Young University Rankings. University has 2 other campuses in London and Scarborough, with the headquarters in Coventry, England. The Coventry University also has a University College in its campus from 2012. Coventry University Campus Overview

Coventry University is located in Coventry City Centre adjacent to Coventry Cathedral and the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum. The Coventry University campus is built on 33-acres land. In the centre of campus, there is a HUB, for the gathering of Student’s Union, Student Support Services and bar/nightclub, a food hall and food outlets. There is also an Engineering Building with facilities like Harrier Jump Jet, a wind tunnel, and flight simulators.

The University also owns a library worth 20 Million Euros, on the outskirts of campus. The library contains 2000 print periodicals, 350,000 monographs and approx. 6,000+ video and audio tapes. There are two converted buildings in the campus, Coventry Business School and Coventry School of Art and Design. There is also 20-Acres of Coventry University Technology Park. The park is home to conference facilities at The TechnoCentre building, The Coventry and Warwickshire New Technology Institute.

Coventry University College – The college was established on the same campus in 2012. It is an offshoot of Coventry University. The College provides full-time and part-time Professional courses such as accounting, legal studies, and marketing. The college is independent with its own facilities, faculties but the degrees are awarded by University.  However, students who study in college do not have access to many resources provided by the university.

London Campus – London campus of Coventry was started in 2010. The campus operates out of university house, 109-117 Middlesex Street in the city of London. The campus offers both UG and PG. According to university’s website, the campus is built near the Bank of England and London Stock Exchange, and are surrounded by various blue chip companies. The campus offers various courses like- BA (Hons) in various subjects, BA (Hons) Top-up, MSc in various subjects, MBA and Preparatory Programmes. Facilities provide are-

Scarborough Campus – The University opened a new facility in Scarborough, from 2015. The University is also to contribute 12 Million Euros towards various projects. Courses offered in the campus are Law, Science, and Engineering. It also offers Honours degree courses, Foundation years, Access to Higher Education, Higher National Certificates and Higher National Diplomas, all awarded by Coventry University.
