IIT JEE Advanced 2016 : This year by seven zonal Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) under the guidance of Joint Admission Board (JAB), Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) 2016 will be held. The efficiency of an applicant in this IIT JEE Advanced 2016 will make up the foundation for admittance to various bachelor’s degree programs in IITs and Indian University of Mines (ISM), along with other well-known technical institutes.
In the recently declared JEE (Mains) 2016, Chandigarh performed well with 1031 candidates qualified for the JEE (Advanced) which is scheduled to be held on May 22. Out of 12.07 lakh candidates who have appeared for the JEE Main (2016) exam, only 1,54,032 candidates qualified for the JEE (Advanced) of which 75,859 are from general category and 78,173 are from reserved categories. Around 2,073 candidates from Punjab and 4,358 candidates from Haryana have qualified for the JEE (Advanced) 2016.
The ranks of students will be finalised only after the declaration of the CBSE 12th Board results on June 30.

Applicants can go online to know How to Register for IIT JEE Advanced 2016. The last Dates to make an application for JEE Advanced will be May 4, 2016. For appearing in JEE Advanced, JEE Advanced 2016 Registration is necessary for candidates, which can be done online only. After the successful declaration of JEE Main result, the eligible candidates can register online for IIT JEE Advanced 2016 Application Form. Candidates will have to pay the prescribed fee for IIT JEE Advanced 2016 after uploading the required documents through Internet banking or by Credit/Debit card.
Number of attempts in IIT JEE Advanced 2016
Candidates cannot appear more than two times for JEE (Advanced) examination in a row. For getting a seat in the IITs and ISM, the candidate must be in the top 20 percentile in class 12 result or should have scored a minimum of 75% total in general/OBC category and 70% total for SC, ST, and PWD categories.
