Eligibility Criteria for admission to MS/MD Courses:

• Educational Qualification: The candidate must hold the MBBS or an equivalent Degree from a recognized Medical College/ Institute.
• Work-Experience: The candidate should have completed an essential interval of 12 months mandatory internship or the practical training on or before 31st December/2016.
• Nationality :
• For Indian Nationals: – An applicant must hold an Indian Nationality.

• For Overseas Citizen of India (OCI):- The Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are also allowed to apply for this examination but they have to submit enough of the documents at the time of counselling like they need to submit their registration proof which should be registered under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955.

• For Foreign Nationals: The candidates from out of India need to take permission from the Medical Council of India before getting admission for the postgraduate Courses in this Institute. The candidate should submit in advance, the copy of the application and the copy of the request to MCI at JIPMER.
