NEET 2016 Cut off Marks will be based on various factors like availability of seats, number of candidates appeared and difficulty level of the entrance examination. NEET 2 Expected Cut off will be the lowest marks a candidate need to score for qualifying the exam. NEET Qualifying Marks 2016

In order to appear for the exam, the aspirant should be 12th pass or should have appeared for 12th exam with science background. The candidate should have have physics chemistry and biology/ biotechnology as main subjects with minimum qualifying cut offs according to the categories given below:-

  • General : 50%
  • ST/SC/OBC : 40%
  • Differently Able: 45%

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the top qualifiers from each category once the cut off score get released. The candidates will be given ranks according to the score and the cut off marks and then will be called for counselling for the allotment of the 15% All-India Quota seats.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET Phase 2:

  • Nationality: Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) can appear for NEET.
  • Age Limit: Applicant must be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2016. The age limit is 25 years for general and 30 years for SC / ST / OBC category candidates

(a) 01/01/87 to 01/01/2000 (SC/ST/OBC Category)

(b) 01/01/92 to 01/01/2000 (Other Category)

Eligibility for All India Quota Seats as per CBSE rules:

Candidates must have appeared or will be appearing in 2016 for class 10+2 or equivalent exam. The candidate must appear and qualify the class 12th exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology (PCB) Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT)

Applicants has passed the B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that they has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English

Candidate must secured at least 50% marks in PCB or 45% (General PH) or 40% (SC / ST / OBC)

NEET 2016 Exam Pattern

NEET 2016 exam will be conducted in a pen and paper based mode at various designated centres across the country. The exam will be held for 3 hours duration. There will be 180 multiple choice questions and each right answer will get you + 4 marks and each wrong question will get you -1.
