NTPC Diploma Trainee Cut Off Marks 2016:
The test will be conducted in two parts. Part I is a knowledge test and contains 70 MCQs of the relevant disciplines. Part II consists of 50 MCQs based on English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. One-fourth marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. There is a separate Qualifying Marks in each Part. 40% marks in Part I and 30% marks in Part II is required to clear the written examination of NTPC Diploma Trainee Exam 2016. The above marking scheme is for the “General” candidates only. Relaxation of 25% will be given to OBC/ SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.
The candidates who will qualify the written examination with the marks mentioned above will be shortlisted for the skill test. Candidates have to qualify the skill test to get selected as Diploma Trainee in NTPC. The minimum qualifying marks in skill test for General Category is 40% and 30% for reserved categories i.e. SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD categories. The weightage of written test and skill test is 85% and 15% respectively.
