The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts an examination called Common Graduate Level Examination (CGL/CGLE) annually to recruit qualified candidates in various governmental bodies.
An urgent update from the Staff Selection Commission is making rounds in the candidates’ circles. The SSC CGL Tier 1 has been postponed to August 2016. The aforementioned examination was supposed to take place on May 8th and May 22nd 2016, but a recent notice from the SSC has shifted the dates of conduction of examination.

According to the Notice Regarding Postponement Of CGLE 2016 issued by SSC, the “Staff Selection Commission is revamping the existing modality of conducting the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE), 2016. Accordingly, the CGLE, 2016, which was scheduled to be held on 8th and 22nd May 2016 has been postponed and would now be held in the month of August 2016. The exact dates for the Tier-1 Examination would be hosted on the Commission’s website shortly. This decision has been taken in the larger interest of the candidates appearing for this examination.“

SSC CGL New Exam Date 2016
The commission earlier announced to conduct the Tier 2 examination on August 13 and 14, 2016, which are likely to get a date shift too. The SSC has not pinpointed to any specific reason for the postponement of the SSC CGLE Tier 1 examination, but has mentioned that it is being done in the larger interest of the aspirants.
All SSC CGL Tier 1 candidates are requested to take note of the recent update posted by SSC regarding the shifting of the earlier exam dates (May 8 and 22 2016) to SSC CGL Tier 1 New Exam Date 2016 (August 2016).
