The Staff Selection Commission had conducted the Junior Engineer Examination for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical subjects on 31st January. This article is for those who appeared for the junior level engineering examination and are waiting for the SSC JE Result 2016. The Staff Selection Commission conducts this examination in order to allow jobs for the following posts –

SSC JE Result 2016 for Paper 1:

Vacant positions will be thousand in number, giving opportunity to those who stand up to the merit list.The examination for diploma engineers was made up of two question papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 was an offline examination that was conducted through OMR sheets. Students answered the questions by darkening the correct option. It was composed of mainly three subjects – GI and Reasoning, General Awareness and Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering. Paper 2 was a descriptive examination that was composed of mainly three subjects- Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.

SSC JE Result 2016 Declaration:

SSC JE Result 2016 will be released by the Staff Selection Commission on its official website – ssc.nic.in. Following steps shall be followed for checking the result on the official website –

  •  Visit the official website of staff selection commission – ssc.nic.in.
  • Search for the results tab and spot for Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical,  Electrical, Quantity, Surveying and Contract) Examination, 2015 declaration of result of candidates qualified for appearing in Paper-II.
  • Look up for the 2015 cut off list.
  • Download the result file to know the roll numbers of candidates who have qualified the examination.

SSC JE Paper 1 Cut Off Marks 2016:

SSC JE Paper 1 Result 2016 is expected to be released in July 2016. Only those will be allowed to download the admit card who have qualified the Paper 1. The expected cut off for the engineering subjects is as follows –

Civil Engineering

  • UR – 100-105
  • OBC – 92-95
  • SC – 78-82
  • ST – 74-78

 Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering

  • UR – 100-105
  • OBC – 92-95
  • SC – 78-82
  • ST – 74-78

Students will be able to download their admit cards for Paper II after they have qualified Paper 1. Cut-off marks for Paper 1 will be calculated on the basis of difficulty level of exam, number of candidates, average performance and minimum expectations. General Intelligence and General Awareness subjects carry 50 marks each in the Paper I. And, all the three engineering subjects carry 100 marks in total.

SSC JE Paper 1 Merit List 2016:

SSC JE Merit List 2016 will be updated on the official website of the staff selection commission. It will be available for students only after the result is declared. Students with the help of their roll number can view their scored marks and their eligibility for Paper II. For reaching up to the interview round, it is necessary to pass the Paper I round. Recruitment is done after the written test and the interview round. Thus, students after checking the merit list should download the admit cards for their next round.
