1. Oxford University: Established in 1096, makes it the oldest university in the English speaking world and grew rapidly since 1167.  Today, it is #1 by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019 for a third straight year. The University has 38 constituent colleges and very strong alumni including 28 Nobel laureates, 28 British Prime Ministers and many other heads of state.

2.The City of Dreaming Spires: The famous 19th-century poet Matthew Arnold composed a poem called Thyrsis in memory of his fellow friend Arthur Hugh Clough who lived in the city of dreaming spires. Film and Television: Oxford has long been UK’s top setting for the screen world, evidently appearing in Thomas Hardy’s Jude the Obscure, The History Boys, Brideshead Revisited, The Golden Compass, etc. Oxford residents and students hardly witness, a week go by without encountering a film crew. The famous use of Christ Church Hall in Harry Potter Movies, being the most loved one.

4.Aestheticism of Oxford: Oxford is one of the greenest cities of Britain. It has 28 nature reserves within or just outside the city ring road. One can leisurely walk along one of Oxford’s many footpaths, have a soothing ride down the rivers and waterways, in rejuvenating cycle lanes or simply being the tranquility of  Botanic gardens of Oxford. 5.A Big Book Hub: The University maintains the largest university library system in the UK. With over 11 million volumes on 190 km of shelves and historic rooms, the second largest is the Bodleian group.
