It has been announced by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board that the WBJEE 2016 Admit Card which was previously expected to be available from 4th April, 2016, will be now available online from 3rd of May 2016. While no reasons for such long delay in issuance of the WBJEE Admit Card 2016 has been cited by the authority, it is expected that the ongoing state election in West Bengal might be a reason for the same.
The application form for WBJEE 2016 was published online on 5th of January, 2016 and the last date of the submission of the duly completed form was 29th of February, 2016. However, the examination fee could be paid latest by 5th of March. The WBJEE 2016 Admit Card will be available for download for all the students who have successfully completed the total application process including the payment of fees in time.
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is conducted every year to offer students of 10+2 level admission to the various medical, Engineering, Architecture and Pharmaceutical colleges under the state government as well as the private ones. The entrance test is known for being high in difficulty level and yet it enjoys great popularity amongst the students, particularly because of the opportunities it offers. The WBJEE 2016 is scheduled to be held on 17th of May, 2016. The exam will be held in different centers across West Bengal as well as in Assam, Silchar, Tripura and Agartala.
Exam Pattern WBJEE 2016
Aspirants appearing for the WBJEEE can either opt for a PCM, PCB or PCMB combination according to their choice. Students appearing for all the four subjects, namely, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology, will be eligible for all the medicine as well as engineering courses, whereas students appearing for PCB combination will be eligible only for Medicine admissions. Students appearing for PCM can apply for any of the engineering or architecture colleges depending on their score.
The WBJEE 2016 Exam Pattern has been left unchanged from the last year. The exam will be fully MCQ type and it will have a total 350 marks for the students appearing for all the four subjects. The papers for Biological sciences and Mathematics will have 100 marks each, while the papers for Physics and Chemistry will have 75 marks each.
