Overview

Deakin University is an Australian public university. It was set up in the year of 1974. It is situated in Geelong, Australia. This university is one of the fastest growing researches University.

In the state Victoria, there are three learning centers of this university. This university offers five pathway programs in Sri Lanka such as:-

• Deakin population health
  
• Pattern recognition and data analysis
  
• Innovation in mental and physical health and clinical treatment
  
• Centre for quality and patient safety research(QPS)
  
• Deakin University in Sri Lanka
  

As per the QS ranking, on the worlds level the university is ranked#360 and on the national level the university has ranked#19. The University has been awarded twice for being the Australian University of the year.

Campus

This university has four campuses (Geelong Waterfront campus, Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus, Melbourne Burwood Campus and Warrnambool Campus) in the Geelong, Warrnambool, Burwood, and Melbourne.

The campus has library, bookshop, 24-hour computer laboratories, 24- hour on-site security, and Medical centre, counseling services, multi- faith prayer rooms and cafe and food outlets as well.

Exclusive Clubs and special interest groups are offered by the University. There are separate communal areas, fitness club, sports hall, tennis courts, walking/ running track and sporting fields like cricket, football, soccer, gridiron, archery and golf driving range for students for hangout as well.

Accommodation

This university offers both on- campus residence and off- campus residence.

The on- campus accommodation there are both the single studio apartment and the shared apartment. Both types of apartments are fully spacious and fully furnished. The residence apartments are available for 365 days. All apartments are located at easy walking distance to the campus.

The off- campus residence are the private residences.
