Wilfrid Laurier University

Overview

Situated in Waterloo in Canada, the Wilfrid Laurier University was established in the year 1911 and millions of funding goes into promoting the education through its various departments. This is a public university which has more than 18,000 students pursuing the graduate level courses and around 1700 students in post-graduate course.

Also known as Golden Hawk, this university has four campuses through which the education is being imparted.

Campus

With the help of the following campuses, the university has been functioning:

·         Brantford campus: Located in Brantford, this campus was opened in the year 1999and presently there are more than 2500 students who are enrolled here. Numerous part-time students are pursuing their respective courses from the university and the full name of the campus is Laurier’s Brantford Campus.

·         Waterloo campus: Located in Waterloo, most of the faculties of the university resides here and around 1600 students are enrolled in this campus.

·         Kitchener campus: This campus was known for providing the education as well as holding the events which involve the participation of staff and faculty as well. This campus came into being in the year 2006 as the Social Work Faculty was moved here from the Waterloo campus.

·         Milton campus: This is a proposed campus which is under construction since 2008 and is spread across wide acreage.
