Cardiff University is one of the leading research universities in Britain. Established in 1883, the University is located in a flourishing city of Cardiff and is the second oldest university in Wales. The University was ranked 123 in the list of world?s top universities by the QS World University rankings. It was ranked 5th amongst UK universities in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) which was based on quality. Cardiff University is recognized for achieving the highest student satisfaction rate in the 2013 National Student Survey.

CAMPUS

The campus of Cardiff University is an urban settlement. It is made up of two large and well-located campus. One is Cathays park campus which is composed of 22 academic schools, students? union building, and entertainment provision. This lively campus is located at the centre of the city. Second is the healthcare campus which is located in the north of the city with five schools on the site.

COURSES

Cardiff University has 26 academic schools which cover four streams- Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Biomedical and Life sciences and Physical sciences. At cardiff, the students can choose from over 300 degree programs.

STUDENT FACILITIES

At Cardiff, sports facilities are provided in the Talybont Halls complex. Special provisions are provided for games like basketball, football, badminton and tennis. Gym facilities and squash courts are located at Cathays Park.

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation facilities for undergraduates, postgraduates, disabled students and couples are provided. The university has fourteen student halls built in a variety of architectural styles. Some of the residential halls are Colum Hall, Talybont halls, Roy Jenkins Hall and Cartwright hall.
