Sheffield Hallam University was founded in 1843 and achieved the University status in 1992. It is located in the city of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. Sheffield Hallam is spanided into four faculties which cover the areas of arts, computing, development and society, organisation and management and health and wellbeing. It has 30 research centers running inside the campus and is listed in the top five of all modern universities based on research power. 65% of Sheffield Hallam research activity is rated world-leading and internationally excellent in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014. SHU ranks 73 out of the 116 UK universities according to the Guardian University Guide. The Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide ranks it 62 out of 123 universities and the Complete ranks it 66 out of 124 universities. SHU offers top class courses in the fields of nursing, sport sciences, food and nutrition, law, management, biological sciences, engineering, radiotherapy and transport & travel. The University is affiliated with the University Alliance Association of Commonwealth Universities. CAMPUS The campus of Sheffield Hallam University is split into two campuses in the city of Sheffield. First is city campus, located in the city centre. Second is Collegiate Crescent Campus, touching the Ecclesall Road in south-west Sheffield. For sports, the campus has gyms, sports halls and a dance studio. Its outdoor sports centre has rugby and football pitches built for students.
